Troops Arrest Two Suspected Boko Haram Informants at Yobe Market
Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have arrested two men accused of supplying intelligence and logistics to Boko Haram at the Buni Yadi Friday Market in Gujba LGA, Yobe State. The July 24 operation involved the 27 Task Force Brigade and local hunters, acting on intelligence reports. One suspect allegedly attacked a hunter with a cutlass while resisting arrest, leaving the hunter with serious head injuries. Military sources said one of the suspects admitted to working as a Boko Haram logistics supplier and informant for nearly seven years. He is also accused of directing insurgents to residents’ homes during cattle-rustling raids.
