Ogun Governor Swears In Six New Permanent Secretaries, Urges Service Excellence

Governor Dapo Abiodun has sworn in six new Permanent Secretaries at the Government House in Abeokuta. He charged them to uphold the legacies of the state’s founding fathers by demonstrating integrity, dedication and selflessness. The appointees—Dr. Solomon Sokunbi, Mr. Abiodun Oladunjoye Akinwunmi, Mr. Adedeji Sowunmi, Mr. Olumide Ogunbo, Mr. Dolamu Idowu-Agida and Tpl. Musinat Ayodele—were selected based on merit, professionalism and inclusiveness in line with constitutional provisions. Abiodun said the move will strengthen institutional capacity and ensure a more efficient, responsive civil service. He also praised the Head of Service for strategic leadership and highlighted the Executive Leadership Development Pipeline Programme that grooms officers for future roles.
