Sowore Faces Criticism Over Igbokoda Location in Ondo Crash-Site Post

AAC presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore has drawn criticism after describing Igbokoda as being in Ese-Odo Local Government Area while sharing details of his visit to the Nigerian Air Force aircraft crash site in Ondo State. The aircraft reportedly crashed into a swamp in Igbokoda, which is in Ilaje Local Government Area, killing 25 people onboard. Sowore said he travelled by a Marine Police boat to assess the scene several days after the incident. Social media users and political critics pointed out that Ese-Odo and Ilaje are separate neighbouring LGAs. Some also noted that Igbekebo, not Igbokoda, is located in Ese-Odo LGA.
