Appeal Court Upholds Ex-NEXIM Bank MD Robert Orya’s 490-Year Prison Sentence
The Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal has upheld the conviction of former NEXIM Bank Managing Director Robert Orya. Orya was convicted by an FCT High Court on 49 counts and sentenced to 10 years in prison on each count, amounting to 490 years. He led the Nigeria Export-Import Bank from 2009 to 2016, after appointments under the late President Umaru Yar’Adua and former President Goodluck Jonathan.
