NSCDC Arrests Two Suspects Over Alleged Transformer Cable Vandalism in Ilorin
The Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has arrested two men over the alleged vandalism of transformer cables in Tanke-Iledu, Ilorin. The suspects were arrested on October 5 following an intelligence-led operation, the command said. Officers reportedly recovered transformer cables, cable peels, electrical gloves, a saw, a knife and a Bajaj motorcycle. The NSCDC said preliminary findings linked the suspects to attacks on electricity infrastructure in the community. It added that efforts were ongoing to identify and arrest other alleged accomplices. The suspects are expected to be charged after investigations are concluded.
