Ukraine Reports Drone Strike Near Putin’s Sochi Residence
Ukraine reportedly launched overnight drone strikes on Sochi, the Black Sea resort city where Vladimir Putin has an official summer residence. Regional officials said five people, including a child, were injured and three homes were damaged. Videos shared online appeared to show explosions and air-defence activity, while local channels claimed an S-400 air-defence system and areas near the Bocharov Ruchey residence were targeted. These claims have not been independently verified. Russia said it shot down 399 Ukrainian drones overnight. Ukrainian authorities had not commented at the time of the report. The attack reflects the growing reach of Ukraine’s drone campaign against targets inside Russia.
