NDDC to Rehabilitate 15km of Dilapidated Sapele–Benin Road in Edo
The Niger Delta Development Commission has agreed to rehabilitate a 15-kilometre section of the Sapele–Benin Road in Edo State, following concerns over its deteriorating condition. The decision followed a joint inspection of the Sapele–Benin and Benin–Agbor road corridors by Works Minister Dave Umahi, Governor Monday Okpebholo, NDDC officials, lawmakers and other stakeholders. Officials said the intervention is expected to improve connectivity, ease the burden on motorists and support businesses along the corridor. However, the start date and completion timeline for the rehabilitation have not yet been announced.
