Arizona Parents Charged After 5-Year-Old Dies in Hot Car
A five-year-old boy, Theo Sabo, died after he was reportedly left inside a parked vehicle for more than two hours during extreme heat in Peoria, Arizona. Police said the family had returned from a church baptism and was hosting about 50 guests at their home. The child was found unresponsive in the vehicle after temperatures reached about 106°F. CPR was attempted before he was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His parents have been charged with negligent homicide and child abuse. The father told police he had asked his 14-year-old son to bring Theo out of the car, but the teenager said no such instruction was given. Both parents were granted bail and may have supervised visits with their other children.
