ADC Chieftain Accuses Tinubu of Prioritising 2027 Election Over Hardship and Insecurity

ADC Chieftain Accuses Tinubu of Prioritising 2027 Election Over Hardship and Insecurity

ADC chieftain Ladan Salifu has accused President Bola Tinubu of placing his 2027 re-election ambition ahead of Nigerians’ welfare. Speaking on a television programme, Salifu cited rising living costs and petrol prices reportedly reaching nearly ₦1,400 per litre in some states. He said low- and middle-income Nigerians continue to bear the brunt of the economic hardship. He also raised alarm over insecurity in the North-West and North-East, pointing to reported killings in Katsina, Zamfara, Sokoto and Kebbi. Salifu urged the Federal Government to focus on security and economic relief rather than election preparations.
