Businessman with Heart Condition Abducted in Lekki, Family Pleads for Help
On Wednesday, May 28, a 47-year-old businessman was kidnapped on the Lekki-Epe Expressway in Lagos State. Eyewitnesses say he was driving home from his Victoria Island office when about five gunmen in a black Toyota Hilux forced him out of his car near the Chevron roundabout. His driver suffered minor injuries and alerted the family and the Lagos State Police Command. The kidnappers have demanded ₦50 million for his release. The family warns that he has a heart condition and urges the captors to guarantee his safety. The Lagos State Commissioner of Police confirmed that the Anti-Kidnapping Unit has launched a manhunt and appealed to anyone with information to come forward.
