Former Katsina South Senator Bello Mandiya Dies at 62

Former Katsina South Senator Bello Mandiya has died at the age of 62. The Katsina State Government said he died in Abuja on Monday and will be buried there on Tuesday. Governor Dikko Radda described Mandiya’s death as a major loss to Katsina State and Nigeria. He offered condolences to the family, political associates and constituents of Katsina South. Mandiya served as Chief of Staff to former Governor Aminu Masari before winning the Katsina South Senate seat on the APC platform in 2019. He represented the district in the Ninth National Assembly until 2023. The cause of his death was not disclosed.
