Peter Obi Says Any 2027 Alliance With Atiku Must Be Between Political Parties

Peter Obi has said any possible 2027 electoral alliance involving Atiku Abubakar would have to be negotiated by their political parties, not arranged personally between the two politicians. Speaking during a television interview, Obi rejected the suggestion that he should simply step down to serve as Atiku’s running mate. He said both men have political structures and supporters behind them. According to Obi, neither candidate can make such a decision alone. He said any alliance would require a collective agreement between the relevant parties.
