I raised these concerns earlier: heavy vehicles should be diverted to the Second Niger Bridge, and emergency points with tow trucks should be available at both ends of the First Niger Bridge. The access roads to the Second Niger Bridge also need attention. Emergency points are now being built at the Asaba and Onitsha ends, with plans for CCTV monitoring and security facilities.
