Army Neutralises Two Terrorists, Seizes Arms in Zamfara Forest Sweep

Troops under Operation FANSAN YAMMA cleared the Bagega–Sunke forest corridor in Zamfara state. They engaged terrorists in Tungar Magaji, forcing them to withdraw. Two terrorists were neutralised in the encounter. The operation covered Maikwanuga village in Talata Mafara LGA and Gidan Dawa, Magami Didi and Tungar Magaji villages in Maradun LGA. Soldiers recovered one AK-47 rifle (no. NE 3774), a 30-round magazine of 7.62mm special ammunition and a motorcycle. This action is part of ongoing efforts to flush out terrorist elements and restore security in the region.
