Can Low Living Costs Make Ilesa Better Positioned Than Wealthier Countries?

I argue that living costs in Ilesa are low enough that a family of four can meet basic household needs on less than ₦7 million a year, even with a car and taxes. At an exchange rate of about ₦1,400 to the dollar, that works out to roughly $5,000 for the household, or about $1,250 per person. My view is that employers do not need to pay very high salaries where essential living expenses are low. A worker whose annual costs are around ₦500,000 may not require a ₦10 million salary simply because such pay is possible elsewhere. I also argue that the best-positioned country would combine low per-capita income with government revenue close to 40% of GDP. Which countries, if any, fit this model, and does it truly reflect citizens' quality of life?
