Video: Should Nigeria Replace the 1999 Constitution Through a Referendum?
I believe the 2027 election may not address Nigeria’s deeper structural problems. In my view, Nigerians should begin a nationwide conversation about a referendum on the 1999 Constitution. I argue that the country needs serious constitutional reform, including greater decentralisation and a review of how Nigeria was formed under colonial rule. The video presents this perspective and asks whether the current system can truly serve the people.
