Osun Election: Security Tightened Across Ile-Ife Ahead of Saturday’s Vote

Security agencies have intensified patrols across Ile-Ife ahead of Saturday’s Osun governorship election. Personnel from the Nigerian Army, Police and NSCDC were deployed to major roads and strategic areas, including Ipetumodu, Mayfair, Lagere and Garage-Ilesa. The deployment is aimed at protecting voters, electoral officials and sensitive materials. Normal activities continued across the city on Friday, with no major disruption reported. Residents have been urged to vote peacefully and avoid actions that could threaten public safety or disrupt the electoral process.
