Bandit Threat Forces Kwara Cleric, Family and 100 Camp Residents to Flee

Rev. Isaac Omolehin, founder of Word Assembly Ministries, says he and his family have been living in hiding after security operatives warned of a possible bandit attack on his ministry camp in Idofian, Kwara State. The warning reportedly led more than 100 residents to evacuate the facility, which includes an orphanage, schools, a hospital, an old people’s home and a rehabilitation centre. Omolehin said the camp has remained shut, leaving patients, nurses, children and other residents displaced. He said suspected bandits later arrived at the deserted camp, while thieves subsequently broke in and stole belongings. Omolehin appealed to the Federal and Kwara State governments to secure the area and allow displaced residents to return safely.
