Wiz Khalifa: Biography, Career Highlights and Net Worth

Cameron Jibril Thomaz, known professionally as Wiz Khalifa, is an American rapper, singer-songwriter, entrepreneur and actor born on September 8, 1987. He grew up in a military family and settled in Pittsburgh, where he wrote his first lyrics as a teen. He signed with Rostrum Records in 2006 and released his debut album Show and Prove. After a brief stint with Warner Bros., Wiz Khalifa went independent for his second album, Deal or No Deal, in 2009. He joined Atlantic Records in 2010 and shot to fame with “Black and Yellow,” which topped the Billboard Hot 100 and earned two Grammy nominations. Subsequent hits like “Roll Up” and “No Sleep” solidified his place in modern hip hop. Offstage, Khalifa has two children and has been in high-profile relationships. He openly supports cannabis culture and has his own “Khalifa Kush” strain. He also trains in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and Muay Thai. As of 2024, his estimated net worth stands at $70 million.
