Ondo Student Arraigned Over Alleged Theft of ₦330,000 Worth of Wigs

A 25-year-old student has been arraigned before an Akure Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ondo State over the alleged theft of two human-hair wigs valued at ₦330,000. The prosecution alleged that the wigs, a 10-inch burnt-orange wig valued at ₦155,000 and a 12-inch brown bone-straight wig worth ₦175,000, were lent to the defendant by a hairstylist in Owo. The wigs were later reported missing. The court granted the defendant bail of ₦500,000 with two sureties, who must meet the conditions within 24 hours. The case was adjourned until October 8, 2026, for further hearing.
