Sahara Power Plans $12m Gas Plant for 24/7 Electricity in Ogba

Businesses in Ogba, Acme Road and Wemco Road have long faced unreliable electricity and high diesel costs. Sahara Power Enterprises Group plans to invest $12 million in a 12MW gas-fired independent power plant in Ogba, Ikeja. The plant is expected to generate power closer to businesses and nearby communities, with completion targeted for the first quarter of 2027. If delivered as planned, it could reduce generator dependence and support commercial activity and property values in the area.
