Geometric Power Praises Abia’s Partnership in Restoring Aba Electricity Supply

Geometric Power has praised the Abia State Government for working with the company to resolve recent power disruptions in the Aba Ring-fenced Area. The outages were linked to challenges in the gas supply chain, but the company says supply has now been restored. The intervention reportedly involved Governor Alex Otti and state power officials engaging Heirs Energies, the Niger Delta Power Holding Company and the Independent System Operator. The aim is to strengthen emergency electricity supply options for Aba and nearby communities. The development highlights the importance of public-private partnerships in sustaining major investments. The Aba Integrated Power Project, commissioned in February 2024, is expected to support manufacturing and wider economic activity in Abia State.
