Mexican Musician, Pregnant Wife, Daughter and Nanny Killed in Home Attack
Mexican musician Jonathan Meléndez, a founding member and keyboardist of indie pop band Camilo Séptimo, was found dead with his pregnant wife, three-year-old daughter and their nanny at their home in Atizapán de Zaragoza, Mexico. Authorities said three victims were shot in the head, while another was shot in the back. Two victims were reportedly found with their hands bound. The family dog was also killed, while a six-year-old boy was found unharmed. Two men have been arrested in connection with the killings. Police allege that one suspect was Meléndez's business associate and used that relationship to gain access to the home. Investigations and judicial proceedings are ongoing.
