Jigawa Barber Arrested After Man Dies in Alleged Stabbing During Dutse Argument
Police in Jigawa have arrested a 29-year-old barber, Emmanuel Olatonok, over the alleged fatal stabbing of 32-year-old Ibrahim Shago in Dutse. The incident reportedly happened around 5:45pm on Thursday, October 29, in the Rafin Sanyi area. Police said an argument between the two men escalated, after which Shago was allegedly stabbed in the neck. Shago was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead. Officers also prevented youths who gathered at the scene from vandalising a hotel in the area. The suspect is in custody and will be charged after investigations are concluded.
