Jaruma Reportedly Held Over Social Media Posts Linked to Seyi Tinubu’s Associate

Businesswoman Hauwa Saidu Mohammed, known as Jaruma, has reportedly been in police custody since Monday over social media posts connected to an alleged dispute involving Seyi Tinubu and a woman described as his girlfriend. Documents reportedly obtained from the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre show that she was granted administrative bail. The conditions include two sureties: a federal civil servant on Grade Level 15 or above, and a business owner with landed property in Abuja. Police have reportedly filed a two-count charge under the Cybercrimes Act, alleging that Jaruma posted abusive messages and false claims on TikTok about Rayan Ghassan Kamal, identified in the report as Seyi Tinubu’s personal assistant. She is expected to be arraigned on Monday. The charge sheet reportedly does not list Seyi Tinubu as the complainant or state that he ordered her detention.
