Lagos Treasury Office Urges Finance Officers to Prioritise Teamwork and Performance

The Lagos State Treasury Office has urged Directors and Heads of Finance and Accounts across ministries, departments and agencies to improve collaboration in public financial management. At a two-day retreat themed “Strengthening Public Finance in Lagos State: Compliance to Performance,” Finance Commissioner Abayomi Oluyomi said officers should stop working in isolation and focus on measurable results for residents. Officials at the retreat said stronger teamwork, trust and accountability would help MDAs improve service delivery and move beyond basic compliance requirements.
