Five Oyo School Kidnapping Suspects Plead Not Guilty to Terrorism Charges
Five suspects have pleaded not guilty to amended terrorism charges linked to the May 15 abduction of pupils and teachers in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State. The Department of State Services alleges that the defendants helped to plan the school kidnapping and were connected to the deaths of two hostages. The case is before the Federal High Court in Abuja. The Director of Public Prosecutions of the Federation has asked the court to begin trial immediately under the Administration of Criminal Justice Act.
