Ezekwesili: Tinubu Has Stabilised FX, but Nigerians Still Face High Living Costs
Former Education Minister Oby Ezekwesili says the Tinubu administration deserves credit for reducing volatility in the foreign exchange market by adopting market-based policies. However, she said the gains have not improved living conditions for many Nigerians. According to her, poverty remains widespread and the cost of living is still high despite changes in headline inflation figures. Ezekwesili argued that the rise in prices was partly avoidable and linked it to policy decisions. She added that weak productivity and unresolved structural problems continue to limit growth, jobs and household incomes.
