So-Safe Corps Arrests Suspected Armed Robber in Itele, Ogun

Operatives of the Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, popularly known as So-Safe Corps, have arrested a 25-year-old man over an alleged armed robbery in Itele. The suspect was arrested around 1 p.m. on Sunday, August 2, after operatives responded to a distress call about a robbery along Lafenwa Road near Orji Block Bus Stop. Other suspected members of the gang reportedly escaped on a motorcycle. The corps said it recovered a locally made pistol, two live rounds of ammunition and a protective charm from the suspect. He and the recovered items have been handed over to the Itele Police Station for further investigation and possible prosecution.
