Defence Minister Says Tinubu Is Expanding Security Capacity to Tackle Sahel Threats
Defence Minister Christopher Musa says the Federal Government is expanding the personnel strength and operational capacity of the Armed Forces and other security agencies to address threats across Nigeria. Speaking with Nigerians in Angola during the African Union summit in Luanda, Musa said insecurity in the Sahel could spill across Nigeria’s borders. He said comprehensive border-management measures were being implemented to curb such incursions. Musa also said the government was improving the use of data in security planning and development. The engagement included discussions on diaspora welfare, identity management and cooperation among government agencies.
