Akpabio Says Banking Reforms Have Strengthened Sector, Assures Nigerians on Security
Senate President Godswill Akpabio says Nigeria’s banking sector is stronger and more resilient following reforms under the Tinubu administration. He said bank recapitalisation and other financial-sector measures were helping to protect depositors and restore investor confidence. Akpabio also said insecurity remained a major obstacle to investment and development. He stated that security agencies were taking a more proactive approach against bandits, insurgents and other criminal groups. He urged Nigerians to support security agencies by sharing credible information about suspicious activity.
