Jide Kosoko Says Nigeria’s Economic Situation Is Not as Bad as Critics Claim
Veteran actor Jide Kosoko has said Nigeria’s economic hardship is not as severe as many critics portray it to be. Speaking on a podcast, he questioned whether people complaining of hunger were significantly better off before President Bola Tinubu took office. Kosoko said some Nigerians are still making money, although others may be struggling. He added that the situation is not rosy but argued that it should not be described as completely hopeless. He also blamed some price increases on traders and sellers, asking Nigerians to reflect on who raises the cost of goods. Kosoko advised people to reconsider their food spending, saying one good meal a day could be enough.
