Four Arrested Over Alleged Demolition and Sale of Kano Primary School Materials
The Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission has arrested four people over the alleged demolition of a classroom at Unguwa Uku Primary School in Tarauni Local Government Area. The commission said it began investigating after residents reported the classroom’s destruction. Preliminary findings allegedly linked the school’s head teacher, members of the School-Based Management Committee and the Tarauni education secretary to the incident. They are accused of demolishing the classroom and selling its roofing sheets and iron rods without approval. The suspects are expected to be arraigned after investigations are concluded. Residents have been urged to report suspected vandalism or illegal disposal of public assets.
