Ogun Driver Hospitalised After Mob Mistakes Him for Kidnapper in Magboro

Joseph Adeyemi, an Uber and inDrive driver, is recovering in a Magboro hospital after a mob allegedly attacked him over a false kidnapping allegation. Adeyemi said he was driving with his three- and five-year-old children after picking them up from school when his car had a minor collision with an okada rider. Although he apologised, he alleged that the rider and others chased his vehicle and raised an alarm accusing him of being a kidnapper. He said the mob beat and pelted him with objects while his children were still in the vehicle. His wife later arrived and helped get him to hospital. His Honda car was also damaged during the incident. Adeyemi has called on the police to investigate the attack and arrest those responsible, warning against mob action based on unverified accusations.
