Umahi Says His Record Can Stand Beside Peter Obi’s

Minister of Works Dave Umahi has rejected claims that Peter Obi is superior to him, saying their backgrounds, intellectual capacity and records in public service can be compared fairly. Speaking in Benin City, Umahi said both men had served as governors and contributed to the South-East. He challenged critics to identify an area where Obi’s record was better than his. Umahi added that an Igbo person could become Nigeria’s president in the future, but argued that it was currently President Bola Tinubu’s turn to lead the country.
