Amadi Raises Concerns Over Tinubu’s 2027 Campaign Plan and Governors’ Role
Political analyst Sam Amadi has criticised President Bola Tinubu’s indication that he may not campaign extensively across the country ahead of the 2027 election. Tinubu said at the inauguration of the APC Presidential Campaign Council in Abuja that the demands of governing would limit his ability to travel everywhere, though he would still communicate directly with Nigerians. Amadi argued that governors could take on much of the campaign work. He urged them to allow opposition parties to campaign freely and warned that Nigeria’s democracy should not be further weakened.
