VeryDarkMan Slams Pastor Adeboye’s Defence of Tinubu on Insecurity

VeryDarkMan Slams Pastor Adeboye’s Defence of Tinubu on Insecurity — 1 of 3
1 / 3

Social media activist VeryDarkMan has challenged Pastor Enoch Adeboye after the RCCG General Overseer defended President Bola Tinubu’s handling of national security. At a gala in Washington, Adeboye said the president “had done his bit” by giving military directives and should not be blamed for worsening insecurity. VeryDarkMan resurfaced clips from 2010 showing Adeboye petitioning President Goodluck Jonathan over rising kidnappings and calling for a mass protest. He accused the cleric of tribal bias for remaining silent on school abductions under Tinubu. In an Instagram video, the activist urged consistency from religious leaders in speaking out on insecurity issues, regardless of who occupies Aso Rock.

Do you think Pastor Adeboye's claim that Tinubu "had done his bit" by issuing military directives holds water, or is it mere political cover?

Are there clear indicators that those military directives truly improved security, or should we consider other factors?

It's interesting how a respected religious leader frames national security as solely military action, ignoring broader socioeconomic factors that fuel unrest.

While Tinubu's security directives might show intent, claiming that's enough overlooks persistent attacks and human toll across the northern states.

It may help to support grassroot peace initiatives and hold town hall meetings to bridge trust between government forces and local communities.
