Ifitedunu Town Union Awards ₦3.6m Scholarships to 18 Indigent Undergraduates
The Ifitedunu Town Union has awarded ₦200,000 scholarships to 18 indigent undergraduates across its five villages in Dunukofia Local Government Area of Anambra State. The awards were presented during the second phase of its 2026 Education Support Programme. The beneficiaries, who attend public tertiary institutions including Nnamdi Azikiwe University, the University of Nigeria and Federal Polytechnic Oko, must maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.00. The union also recognised top performers in the 2026 UTME. The programme includes support for WAEC and JAMB fees, free holiday lessons and planned vocational assistance for young people in Ifitedunu and nearby communities. The union said it is developing a framework to sustain the scholarships beyond the current administration.
