Police Arrest Suspect Over Killing of 77-Year-Old Farmer in Ondo

Police in Ondo State have arrested a suspect in connection with the killing of a 77-year-old farmer at Oligbe Farm Settlement in Okitipupa Local Government Area. The farmer was reportedly found in a pool of blood with suspected machete wounds to his head and neck after his wife returned from fetching water and discovered he was missing. Police said the body was taken to the State Specialist Hospital mortuary in Okitipupa. The Commissioner of Police has ordered a thorough investigation, and authorities say anyone found responsible will be prosecuted.
