Kano Police Recover ₦59.2m Solar Inverters, Arrest Three Over Filling Station Theft
Kano police say they recovered 160 solar inverters valued at ₦59.2 million after arresting a 43-year-old man accused of offering the items at suspiciously low prices. The inverters were found in an uncompleted building in Haye Quarters along Western Bypass Road. Police believe the items may have been stolen and have asked anyone who recently lost similar 6.5KW/48V solar inverters to contact the Sharada Police Division for identification. Investigations are continuing to trace the source of the goods and other possible suspects. In a separate case, three men were arrested over the theft of six fuel dispensing machines worth about ₦10.2 million from a filling station in Gaya LGA. Police said the station guards were tied up during the attack, while efforts are ongoing to arrest another suspect and recover the machines.
