Ugbolu Kingdom Renews Call for Autonomous Status in Delta

Ugbolu Kingdom in Delta State has renewed its call for autonomous status, urging Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to approve its long-standing request. Community leaders said the request has passed through the required stages and is supported by the kingdom’s history, identity, population and documentary records. They argued that autonomy could improve local administration, strengthen the community’s cultural identity and support development in areas such as roads, education, healthcare and infrastructure.
