NDC Sets October 20 Campaign Council Inauguration for Obi-Kwankwaso Ticket

The Nigeria Democratic Congress says it will inaugurate its Presidential Campaign Council and present certificates of return to candidates on October 20 as preparations for the 2027 general elections intensify. National Chairman Moses Cleopas said the party consulted Peter Obi, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and other leaders before finalising the structure. He said the process was delayed to ensure that campaign officials are properly screened and committed to the party. Cleopas said the NDC would recruit and train polling agents nationwide and defend its votes through lawful means. He also dismissed claims of internal divisions, insisting that party leaders and structures across the country support the Obi-Kwankwaso ticket.
