FG Says Tinubu’s Reforms Are Stabilising Economy Despite High Inflation
The Federal Government says President Bola Tinubu’s economic reforms have delivered a reasonable level of stability and growth, although inflation remains high. Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sola Enikanolaiye said inflation was gradually declining and other economic indicators were improving. He said sustained growth was necessary for Nigeria to achieve wider economic and social development. Speaking at an ECOWAS Trade Liberalisation Scheme workshop in Bauchi, Enikanolaiye said the government wants businesses, farmers and entrepreneurs to use regional trade opportunities under ECOWAS and the African Continental Free Trade Area. Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed also called for stronger North-East economic cooperation and action against border delays, multiple checkpoints, poor transport infrastructure and other barriers affecting small businesses.
