Troops Rescue 21 Kidnap Victims, Arrest Seven Suspects in Nationwide Operations
Nigerian troops rescued 21 kidnap victims and arrested seven suspects during operations carried out between Monday and Wednesday in several states. In Kebbi, troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA rescued the victims after engaging armed groups in Fafala and Dandikwa villages in Danko-Wasagu LGA. The victims were reunited with their families. Two suspected terrorist associates were also arrested in Katsina. Operations in Plateau led to the arrest of three suspected cattle rustlers and the recovery of 27 cattle. Troops also rescued a child abducted with the mother in Kaduna, while efforts continue to find the woman. Other arrests and recoveries were reported in Edo, Kogi, Benue and Nasarawa, including firearms, ammunition and suspected illegal-mining equipment.
