Suspended Zamfara Lawmakers Deny Returning to APC After Meeting Tinubu

Eight suspended Zamfara State lawmakers have denied claims that they returned to the All Progressives Congress after meeting President Bola Tinubu in Abuja. Their spokesman, Ibrahim Tukur Bakura, said the visit was to discuss their suspension, outstanding entitlements and possible ways to resolve the dispute. He said they have neither defected to the APC nor promised to do so. The lawmakers resigned from the APC before the meeting and were received alongside former Zamfara governor Bello Matawalle. They were suspended by the state assembly over allegations including gross misconduct, conspiracy and convening an illegal sitting.
