Abiodun Highlights Port, Airport and Industrial Plans for Ogun East Growth
Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun says planned infrastructure and industrial projects could position Ogun East as a major economic hub. He listed the proposed Gateway Deep Sea Port, Gateway International Airport, road upgrades, industrial expansion and energy prospects as key projects. He said the port and the Blue Marine Special Economic Zone in Ogun Waterside could support shipping, manufacturing, warehousing, exports and freight services. The airport in Iperu and better road links could also improve logistics, trade and access to markets. At the Sagamu Club investiture, former CBN deputy governor Tunde Lemo proposed converting Ogere Park into a dry port. He also urged factories along the industrial corridor to improve waste management, while the governor called for stronger youth empowerment and community development efforts.
