Russian Drone Strike Kills Toddler and Five Others in Ukraine’s Kharkiv Region

A Russian drone strike on a park in Nova Vodolaha, Ukraine’s Kharkiv region, has killed a toddler in a stroller and five other civilians, Ukrainian officials said. At least 15 people, including seven children, were injured. The attack reportedly struck an area where families had gathered. A nearby cafe was also damaged. Officials later identified five of those killed as three women and two young girls, while the overall death toll was reported as six. UN monitors say civilian casualties in Ukraine rose sharply in September, with 328 people killed and 2,105 injured. Russian attacks have also damaged electricity and heating facilities as winter approaches, leaving hundreds of thousands of Kyiv residents temporarily without power.
