Texas Mother Charged After Alleged Knife Attack on Husband and Two Children
A 37-year-old woman in Northlake, Texas, has been charged after allegedly attacking her husband and two young children with a knife. Police said the husband called emergency services early Tuesday, reporting that he had been injured while trying to reach the children in another room. Officers later found a three-year-old girl and a 10-month-old boy with chest injuries. The husband and both children were taken to hospital and are expected to survive. Police said the woman was treated for a minor injury before being transferred to Denton County Jail, where she faces two counts of attempted capital murder and one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Authorities said officers had previously responded to several welfare-related calls at the family’s home and that investigations are ongoing.
