The Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar III, has called on authorities to carry out a full, impartial probe into the murder of Alhaji Ardo Risku, the Benue state chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria. Expressing deep grief over Risku’s killing, the Sultan praised the Benue Government and security agencies for the swift arrest of suspects. He emphasised that anyone found responsible must face justice under the law. The traditional ruler described the late Fulani leader as a champion of peace and dialogue. He urged communities to remain calm and allow due process to run its course, adding that loyalty to lawful institutions is the best tribute to Risku’s legacy.
