Kano Police Question NDC Chieftain Over Alleged Rifle Display at Political Rally

Kano State Police Command has invited NDC chieftain Aminu Warkal for questioning over the alleged display of a firearm at a political gathering in Gwale. A video circulating online appears to show Warkal holding what is suspected to be a pump-action rifle during the rally. Police said the alleged act may violate the Firearms Act and could intimidate members of the public. The command said Warkal is with its State Intelligence Department as investigations continue. It urged political actors and supporters to obey electoral and firearms laws and conduct their activities peacefully.
